  Edward Murgitroyd

  Founder and CEO

  Edward Murgitroyd is the founder and CEO of Hexos. Hailing from a family well-known in the IP industry, Edward is well-poised to disrupt the landscape with an innovative approach to patent renewals. He is committed to serving his clients with transparency, premier customer service, and integrity above all else.

  Edward is a proven leader and visionary in the intellectual property community, having served in numerous leadership positions including CEO at Murgitroyd IP, co-founder of National Bamboo, and as the chair of International IP in the Intellectual Property Section of the NC Bar Association. Edward also holds volunteer leadership positions for several charities. Born and raised in Scotland, he now calls Raleigh, NC home where he lives with his wife and two children.

  Kent Robbins

  Chief Operating Officer

  As Chief Operating Officer, Kent Robbins is responsible to oversee the strategic and operational execution of the Hexos enterprise. Having served in many senior leadership roles in Business Development and Sales (as well as serving as Captain within the United States Marine Corps), Kent is a proven servant leader with a dedication to client service and team development.

  Kent entered the field of intellectual property in 2016 for the opportunity to serve inventors in their efforts to protect and develop transformative innovations. With a passion for teamwork, excellence, and integrity, Kent joined Hexos to cultivate and champion its mission to provide unparalleled service. When not in the office, Kent is usually spending quality time with his family and/or cheering on the Nittany Lions.

  Stephanie Nelson

  Director of Operations

  As Director of Operations, Stephanie Nelson orchestrates the implementation of Hexos IP’s operational strategy and ensures the proper execution of Hexos’ enterprise. Her comprehensive professional background includes leaderships roles in research and education; project management and client services; and community outreach programs. As the former Associate Director of the Carolina Asia Center at the University of North Carolina, and with an extensive volunteer history, Stephanie Nelson brings a wealth of experience and expertise relevant not only to her administrative position but also to Hexos IP’s “Renewals For Good” pledge. Stephanie currently resides in Folsom, California with her husband and children.

  Joshua Stackhouse

  Strategic Marketing & Business Development Executive

  Joshua Stackhouse serves as Hexos’ Strategic Marketing & Business Development Executive where he is responsible for the development of the company voice through the creation and deployment of all written content and through direct interaction with partners and clients.  He writes copy for a variety of media including social, print, video and online.  He also collaborates on multiple professional and philanthropic ventures with the Hexos team and regularly contributes his insights and acumen to steering committee discussions.  Before joining Hexos IP, Joshua worked alongside Ed Murgitroyd at Murgitroyd IP while also working as a freelance ghostwriter and copywriter.  A multifaceted artist and New Yorker, Joshua is also a professional songwriter, performer and producer of shows at lauded New York City venues including Birdland and 54 Below.
